Spiced Tea

I grew up in a very small town in Iowa. So small, I had a lot of freedom to roam about with my friends at a very young age. So small in fact we roller skated on main street’s sidewalks because there was no roller skating rink in town. Anyways, with all this freedom I spent a lot of time visiting friends and neighbors whenever I wished. One elderly neighbor, Anna McClean, became kind of like a second grandma and would invite me in to her home to read books and drink spiced tea. I still love to drink spiced tea. Maybe because I love the flavor and warmth of strong spices, or maybe because I loved the time I spent with Anna.  I hope you enjoy this warm sweet drink as much as I do.

Spiced Tea

Ingredients:

2 cups Tang

¾ cup sugar

½ instant tea

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp ground cloves

¼ tsp ginger

¼ tsp nutmeg

Directions:

Mix ingredients and store in a mason jar in your cupboard. Mix 1-2 Tablespoons of dry powder per cup of hot water.

Enjoy! Cindy
