How Now Green Cow was created for people who have limited time, money, and energy, yet want to find simple ways to live a greener lifestyle. How Now Green Cow features meal plans and recipes created from in-season foods and other low-cost, healthful foods. Thus, even the busiest of families can quickly find ways to eat healthy and eat local, without breaking the bank. Beyond the kitchen, How Now Green Cow shows readers how to green their entire home through organization, recycling, replacement of traditional household chemicals with nontoxic alternatives, and much more. Need ideas for an inexpensive date night or family outing? How Now Green Cow features information on local events and programs throughout the Midwest that support the environment, yet don’t empty the wallet. Additionally, How Now Green Cow introduces readers to local farmers producing our food, as well as local leaders and environmental initiatives heading up the green movement in the Midwest.
How Now Green Cow was co-created by Lisa Guerra and Cindy Dempsey, and has been taken on by Kari Cantarero. Cantarero, an environmentalist by career and nature, uses her passion for green, healthy living to show readers how to take this into the home.
